Hiking & Biodiversity Reserve

A biodiversity reserve within your reach

The Seigneurie du Triton biodiversity reserve begins in the west, as you enter the outfitter’s territory. We offer you the chance to discover all this on and off the trails on a wilderness hike accessible to all.

The first evening is spent at the inn, taking advantage of Le Triton’s facilities. You’ll also meet your guide to plan your expedition.

The next day, after a hearty breakfast and pick-up of your lunches, you’re off for a half-day hike on and off the trail. You’ll spend the night on your own in a rustic chalet, enjoying a simple, tasty meal.

You’ll discover the environment of the mixed boreal forest, a mountainous setting and the wild, natural beauty that the biodiversity reserve hides. There’s also the opportunity to pick berries, mushrooms and wild edible plants.

Spend the night in an authentic log cabin built in 1930, on the shores of Lac des Trois-Caribous. Take advantage of the night sky to observe the magnificent stars and try your hand at wolf-calling. The pack may be ready to answer.

The next day, return via another wilderness section of the territory, leaving the site around 2:30 p.m., or decide to extend your stay in the comfort of our inn before returning to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
